DESCRIPTION: Clocks- 4 (Four): (1) E.N. Welch for Colby Wringer Co., "Colby" mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike in a walnut case, c1886;(2) E.N. Welch, "Hauk" mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike with alarm in a walnut case, c1885; (3) Waterbury Clock Co., "Paris" mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike with alarm in a walnut case, c1891; (4) Connecticut, mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike in a walnut case.
CONDITION: (1) Protruding wood elements on the upper sides of case have been removed. Thin finish. Good pendulum. Mostly complete rear label. (2) Listed as the "Hauck" in Ly's Welch book. Incorrect pendulum. Stained dial. Alarm mechanism missing. Glass is replaced and has a break in one corner. (3) Nice cameo pendulum bob. Case has lost its finish. Replaced dial. Minute hand far too short. (4) Case has lost its finish. Replaced dial. Plain glass is probably a replacement. Good Welch pendulum. Unsigned brass movement held together with taper pins. Dimensions are for the "Paris ".
